Room to park. A place for the things you use. A floor that is easier to keep clean. Hâpax helps Virginia Beach homeowners plan those pieces together, starting with the concrete and the way the garage needs to work.
Hâpax serves Virginia Beach from our Norfolk shop at 426 West 23rd Street. We have worked with concrete since 2003, bringing material knowledge and a defined installation scope to each garage project.
You can choose a floor coating on its own or coordinate it with Proslat cabinetry, slatwall and overhead storage. Start with what is getting in the way; the plan should solve that first.
Consider vehicle doors, walking routes, the house entry and access to equipment before choosing cabinet depth or placing storage. Share rough dimensions and photographs with the cars in place if that helps explain the constraint.
02 / EVERYDAY GEAR
Store for your routine
Bikes, beach gear, sports equipment, tools and seasonal bins need different kinds of access. Select hooks, slatwall, cabinets or overhead storage around how often you reach for each item.
03 / FIXED + HEAVY ITEMS
Account for the obstacles
Freezers, workbenches, tool chests, door tracks and existing cabinets affect both the layout and the work sequence. Identify what stays, what moves and who will handle it before installation starts.
The floor comes first
Built from the concrete up.
A dependable coating begins with mechanical preparation and an assessment of the slab. Hâpax reviews existing finishes, moisture, cracks, control joints and perimeter details before specifying the full-broadcast floor system.
Move the right items off the floor while keeping them within reach. Hâpax can help select and order Proslat slatwall, cabinets, racks and accessories as a product package or as part of an installed project.
Wall construction, ceiling framing, stored weight and access help determine what can be installed. Product selection, freight, availability and installation are confirmed in the written proposal.
Floor-only work is welcome. Existing coatings, slab condition, repairs, size and access affect the floor proposal. Storage and other improvements are scoped separately so you can see what each decision adds.

Can I start with the floor and add storage later?
Yes. Floor-only work is welcome. If you expect to add cabinets or slatwall later, tell us early so the floor edges, wall access and future layout can be considered together. Each stage is confirmed in its own agreed scope.
Should cabinets and storage be installed before the floor?
The sequence depends on whether existing cabinets remain, what needs moving, the selected products and the floor preparation required. We resolve the order before installation rather than assume every garage follows the same sequence.
What do I do with appliances and everything stored in the garage?
Include photographs of large or difficult-to-move items and tell us what must remain accessible. Moving help and temporary storage can be discussed. The written proposal confirms responsibilities; they are not automatically included with a floor coating.
What if the concrete is damp, cracked or already painted?
These conditions need assessment before choosing a coating. Moisture, contamination, movement and existing coatings can affect preparation, system choice and cost. A floor coating does not fix an underlying water-entry problem.
When can I use the garage again?
Many straightforward floor installations take approximately two working days. Roughly 72 hours is an initial parking allowance, subject to the selected system and site conditions. Hâpax confirms preparation, cure, access and return-to-service guidance for your project.
