The Hâpax
Investment Guide.

Meaningful work begins with honest expectations. These ranges are intended to help you decide whether Hâpax is the right fit before beginning a conversation.

Designed and made in Norfolk, Virginia

We are rarely the lowest-priced option—and that is not our objective.

Hâpax works with clients who value thoughtful design, practiced craftsmanship, and personal accountability. Every project is approached with the intention of creating something appropriate for its setting, durable in its use, and difficult to duplicate.

01 · Hâpax Garage

Start with the floor.
Build only what helps.

A Hâpax Garage project begins with the floor, but it does not have to end there. We can develop the room as a complete environment with cabinetry, storage, wall systems, and carefully considered details.

Garage floor systems

From $4,000

Typical two-car garage: $4,500–$7,500

Pricing reflects professional mechanical preparation, repairs appropriate to the selected system, commercial-grade materials, and careful installation—not simply applying a coating over the slab.

Complete transformations

From $15,000

Common range: $15,000–$40,000+

Complete transformations may include cabinetry, slatwall, storage, specialty work areas, lighting coordination, and other improvements selected around how the room will actually be used.

What shapes the investment

  • Garage size and access
  • Existing coatings or contamination
  • Cracks, repairs, and moisture conditions
  • Floor edges, stem walls, and vertical surfaces
  • Selected finish and coating system
  • Cabinetry, storage, and organization scope

02 · Concrete Flooring

A floor that works.
And feels intentional.

No two slabs are identical. Age, hardness, previous flooring, adhesives, repairs, and aggregate exposure all affect the process and final appearance.

Explore concrete flooring

Residential and specialty flooring

From $7,500

Typical polished concrete: $10–$18 per square foot

Complete residential investments commonly range from $12,000 to $30,000 or more. Larger commercial projects are evaluated individually because scale, scheduling, access, and performance requirements can substantially affect pricing.

What shapes the investment

  • Total square footage and accessibility
  • Existing flooring and adhesive removal
  • Slab condition and necessary repairs
  • Desired aggregate exposure and sheen
  • Dye or decorative treatments
  • Edge work, transitions, and protection system

Concrete is an existing material with its own history. Variations, repaired cracks, aggregate changes, and evidence of the finishing process are part of what makes each completed floor unique.

03 · Hâpax Customs

Your idea.
Resolved in concrete.

Hâpax Customs produces commissioned concrete pieces for a particular client and place. Each commission requires design development, moldmaking, material testing, finishing, and careful handling.

Custom commissions

From $3,500

Complex geometry, integrated sinks, unusual colors, specialty reinforcement, difficult access, delivery, and installation can increase the investment.

Concrete countertops
$225–$350+ per square foot
Concrete tables
$6,000–$15,000+
Fireplaces and architectural surrounds
$8,000–$25,000+
Architectural concrete mirrors
$250+ per square foot
Sinks, furniture, and sculptural elements
Individually commissioned

Some ideas require preliminary material studies or prototypes. When that is necessary, design and development are priced separately before full fabrication begins.

What your investment includes

Clear thinking.
Careful making.

Is Hâpax the right fit?

Distinctive work.
Direct accountability.

If price is the only deciding factor, we may not be the best match. If design, execution, and the experience of working with the right maker matter, we would be glad to learn about your project.

These figures are planning ranges, not instant estimates. Concrete conditions and custom details cannot always be evaluated from photographs or square footage alone. Every final price is provided through a written, project-specific proposal.
